Hider and seeker - Guruvayoorappan

Two days ago...I couldn’t find a very important document. The said document is ALWAYS kept in a specific place and ALWAYS put back after handling. No compromise.

I had handled this document last Sunday and I remember specifically having placed it back in it’s cover.

When I opened the cupboard to take it out 2 days ago, it was not in it’s usual place.
What followed was a whirlwind of emotions. My mind came up with ridiculous thoughts. Like maybe thieves entered the house and took ONLY that document?! I threw the document away and it is probably in some dump yard.

I went through the cupboard with a fine tooth comb. I cleared the cupboard nearby. I pulled out all my clothes and sorted again the recently arranged piles. I even searched my kitchen and inside the fridge. Every place had been cleaned recently and I resorted them again. All .. I mean ALL cupboards were scrutinised.

I wanted to cry. But a carpenter was doing some work in the front drawing room and I had to look sane in front of him.

I prayed I would break 11 coconut prayer to please Lord #ganesha if I found the papers.
Total bribery.
Still I did not find the document. I started scolding the #gods . My tears started flowing and I questioned the very existence of the #heavensabove.
My (favourite) #ernakulathappan bore the brunt of it! #kanchimahaperiyava was stared at with hot arrows coming out of my eyes.

I did not dare call #mymother. I knew the dam would burst. But in 2 hours I had exhausted all my options and I needed my mom.

She told me that I was NOT stupid to have thrown away such an important document and it would be inside my home 100%. She voiced the exact thoughts of my ‘guru’, whom I had called on earlier in my search.

Then she told me that I must pray to the naughty #lordkrishna in #guruvayur that I would give him sweetened warm milk with butter AND I would do something ridiculous if I found my papers.

I was very desperate. I agreed.

After 4 hours of futile search, I found the papers in the most unlikely place - in a pile of clothes which had been folded and left on my bed, but moved to the guest bedroom to be added to the ‘charity pile’.
It was NOT at the very bottom of the pile. It was found in between the neatly folded clothes ..and I had searched this pile earlier.

So, today...I fulfilled my part of the deal I had made with Lord #Guruvayurappan .

I told my daughter to not get worried seeing me laugh, clap and shout loud in front Lord #krishna saying,”Oh! It was here! You naughty boy, you hid it here. കൊച്ചു കള്ളൻ.”
