The last minute rush

Bhavayami Raghuramam Day 26.

Today’s confirmed speaker, could not come. We got this info at 1 pm. Program starts at 6 pm sharp!!

Yikes!!

There are speakers - but our requirement at 1 pm was a good speaker who will not bring down the quality of the program AND will agree to speak at such short notice.

After a friendly but tense banter with the President Rajendra Prasadand exchange of 2-3 names, we cut the call.

Then #ernakulathappan suddenly reminded me of Sri.@Shiva Shankar.

He had spoken last year and had left an impression on me.

President agreed that he was perfect.

The call was made. Confirmation came through with photo and topic.

Poster was designed in half hour. And it was up on Instagram and Facebook by 2 pm!!

The #rush associated with running this month long program is immense!!

Sri.Sivasankar did not disappoint. He set the stage on fire with his booming voice, flurry of hands and the heated topic. 

His deep awareness of the downhill turn taken by present #hinduism because of #hindus general nonchalant #fatalist attitude plus the forgetting of lessons taught in #scriptures due to spreading of fallacies with government “help” really made him sizzle.

How can any #hindu in his right mind accept “wayanadan Ramayanam”? He warned that this skewed version might become a text book in the near future, thus making the atrocious misinterpretation of the holy scripture by the (non-Hindu) author an accepted version.

He reminded with examples from #ramayana that every fight is first won in the head …way before entering the battle field. 

While he apologised for his #strongopinions , I thought his speech on the topic - “The need to reread Adyathma Ramayana” - was relevant and the need of the hour.

His agreeing to come (on such short notice), shows his #humility .

His speech today showed we were right in choosing him.
