Going for a Film preview

I have never been to any movie previews ever; so when Vani invited me to see her short film “Sharanam” at TDM hall, I got excited. I dressed in full black as I knew the movie is on Lord Ayyappa.

Dignitaries like Damodaran tirumeni (Melshanti Sabarimala 2012-13) & Radhakrishnaji were among the dignitaries invited. 

The movie was 20 minutes long, had a catching story line, was well enacted and had incredible music.

Vani is “Narayani” in the movie. And when she appeared on screen, I gave a wallop and clapped loudly! (Sadly, don’t know to whistle.)

She had told about the effort put in by the crew during the 10 days of shoot in Kollengode, Palakkad. It was seen in the visuals.

The movie reinforced in me the power of music…

The central theme is MUSIC.. The song “Sharanam” is slightly long, but I feel will be a super hit…

After the preview the dignitaries were all welcomed with “ponnada”. Radhakrishnaji talked about his childhood experiences & Ayyappa swamy. (Will post the video on my YouTube soon.)

I got to drape ponnada (for the very first time) on cine actress Ananya,  who is the sister of the film’s hero Arjun Gopal.

She gave a touching speech like any sister wishing her brother success. She got emotional too.

And since I do not watch TV or hear radio, plus I heard Ananya speak, I complimented Arjun about his voice and emoting skills. He has 30k followers on Instagram!! Typical me.😬😅

Atchudan, the director, talked about നിമിത്തം - loosely translated- gods unseen handiwork pointing that one is traveling the right path.

He asked for my feedback and I said I was impressed as I had come with 0 expectation (as Vani had acted in it🤣) and was pleasantly surprised that it was so good.
And in the end, I had to give a short feedback, which has not been posted as yet..
