Anaka’s birthday 2024

 I cannot talk about Anaka without my eyes filling, my nose burning and having a deluge of thoughts.

My first child. The one who made me mother.

She has suffered with me.. with us…

But she never allowed her surrounding darkness to remove her sense of fairness or her ability to love. 

And she has so lovingly mothered Ananya. 

Now Anaka lives a life which we all are proud of. She needed our help only till she joined college. After graduating from Mumbai (and doing all the college daredevilry), she chose to go to Australia for her post-grad.

And that sort of education proved to be her ‘thing’ - no spoon feeding, but more self learning by referring books. She flourished.

She found work in an international organisation. She has erratic schedule, but she is happy. I find her awake at IST 10 pm. (Australia is 4&1/2 hours ahead of us).

And recently we got to enjoy her cooking in her beautiful home.

She saves, travels and her future glows in front of her.

I eagerly wait to see which path she takes.

Given her thoughtful nature (which she got from Harish), I know she will make the right decision. As always.
