Ernakulathappan & I (2025)
As much as I wish to not have another janma (birth), knowing who I really am, I know I will have one. 🤣 There is one prayer I oft repeat coz of this understanding…which beseeches the higher power to allow me to be born again as a devotee of Lord Parameswara/Siva. (Shareeram shastra meemamse, devastu Parameswaraha, Acharya Shankaracharya, Dehime janma janmani.) I have told the Moothaths of Ernakulathappan that I envy them immensely as they walk around the temple holding Him. They are His mobile units! And I have said to some Melsanthi’s that I envy their ability to offer pooja to Him. The keezhshanthis who get to dress Him and feed Him are oh! so blessed. And ofcourse the tantris… I have told Gireeshan Namboodiripad that he is so lucky to act as His father!! Whom am I to Him? Like Harish said the other day, one among His millions of devotees.
