Anish & Kiran
Harish & I were fighting. Bare mini exchange of words. Mostly grunts, nods and vague haa’s… He went to temple that Sunday and I opened the door holding the dosa spatula in hand. His eyes were downcast & I was seriously frowning. Who will talk first? Ernakulathappan must have toned him down a bit and he blurted that he met Anish at the temple. Now that Harish had spoken; to maintain decorum (not really, I wanted more information!😈😜), I asked him how long he is here. “Just a fleeting weekend trip”, Harish said and we both went back to the fighting status. For me the connotation of weekend trips is not positive. So I messaged Anish & asked if all is well. “This is a happy trip. Will call ya in sometime.” Was the reply. Post lunch, Harish was staring at his screen and I was lounging on the sofa. My phone rings. Anish calling. I start talking to him when I hear another voice.. a female recognisable sound. The age of ‘cross connection’ as with land lines is over. So, what is
